It has been a while since I posted in my blog. I had a short term writing contract for a transportation company that was my focus before we left for the warmer climes of Mexico. It was a technical writing opportunity, back in the safety wheelhouse of my career. It reminded me of how much I loved researching and writing and how good it is for my brain!
Taking on that contract meant diving deep into the details – sifting through documentation, and translating complex processes into clear, accessible language. I found myself energised by the challenge, rediscovering the satisfaction of solving puzzles with words and the thrill of learning something new every day. The structure and logic of technical writing gave me a sense of accomplishment, and the process itself was at times almost meditative, sharpening my focus and keeping my mind agile.
Yet, while technical writing is rewarding, it’s very different from the creative freedom I enjoy in blogging. The discipline and precision required for that contract brought balance to my creative life, grounding me before I embarked on this new chapter here in Mexico. It reaffirmed the value of strong communication skills. Now, as I return to blogging, I feel more connected to my craft, ready to blend the clarity of technical writing with the expressive possibilities of storytelling. It reminded me that writing, in any form, is both a joy and a vital exercise for my mind.
But writing a blog post allows more creative freedom, more opportunity to express my thoughts and feelings and more engagement with my followers. It’s a space where my imagination can truly flourish—whether I’m weaving in vivid descriptions of the golden-flecked beaches, capturing the gentle rhythm of the waves or the daily life here in La Cruz. I can experiment with language, play with storytelling styles, and even wax poetically about elements that add to the unique ambience of this coastal village. While sharing these moments I invite you to embrace the opportunity to see, feel, and dream alongside me.
Embracing opportunities and welcoming change is a central theme of this journey. Leaving behind familiar routines and stepping into the unknown can be both exhilarating and daunting, but it’s in these moments of transition that I discover new facets of myself. The early days here in La Cruz offer a gentle reminder that growth often comes from leaning into the unfamiliar, finding comfort in small victories, and allowing curiosity to lead the way.
With open arms, I’m choosing to seize the chances that come my way—whether it’s navigating a winding cobblestone street, trying a new dish at the local market, or connecting with someone whose story sparks inspiration. This willingness to adapt and say “yes” to change is teaching me resilience and gratitude, enriching both my creative life and my sense of wellness in this vibrant community.
As I settle into this new rhythm in La Cruz, I am reminded that every experience adds depth to my journey. The blend of structure and spontaneity keeps my mind lively and my heart open to possibility. I look forward to sharing these discoveries and stories with you, hoping they inspire you to embrace change and seek joy in the adventure of everyday life. Thank you for joining me as I continue to write, explore, and grow in this sunlit corner of the world.
Sometimes, as I watch the sunset paint the sky in shades of gold and pink, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to have the freedom to pursue my passions and share them with others. This journey is a gift, and I am grateful for each moment that shapes my story.
Here’s to new stories, deepening connections, and the enduring joy of writing from the heart.
But first coffee—a simple ritual that grounds me before I set out to explore and embrace the day’s possibilities.
Glad you’re back and looking forward to your adventures! ❤️
Glad you have your coffee to get you going! I’m sitting on the edge of my seat ready to dive into your adventures! Enjoy your journey, I know it will be magical.
